DLF has been in the real estate development business since 1946 and has developed by leaps and bounds, creating bespoke developments to meet the needs of office spaces, houses, and entertainment centres, and therefore responding to every specific want of real estate customers. In every area, including real estate, there have been massive market changes - booms and collapses regularly. Only a few real estate groups have been able to recover from these losses, and DLF has held strong among others.
The company's goal has always been to please clients by providing high-quality residential and business spaces at reasonable pricing. DLF's top aim is to provide consumers with the best possible service and experience. The Group is dedicated to introducing elegance, style, exclusivity, comfort, and most importantly - safety to the way people live, with each edge gleaming brightly.
The Group's buildings are now well-known icons in 24 Indian cities, with millions of square feet of developed space, demonstrating its understanding of structures raised with exceptional care and attention. DLF Cyber City Gurgaon, DLF King's & Queen's Court, DLF Capital Towers, and DLF The Crest are some of the DLF Group's landmarks in Delhi NCR. DLF plans to build more landmarks in the future, not just in Delhi NCR, but across India.
History
Krishna Nagar, DLF's first residential project, was completed in East Delhi in 1949. Model Town, Rajouri Garden, Punjabi Bagh, South Extension, Greater Kailash, Kailash Colony, and Hauz Khas were among the company's 21 colonies in Delhi. The passing of the Delhi Development Act in 1957 was the company's first severe setback. The Act meant that the city's real estate development activities would be taken over by the government.
As a result, DLF planned to expand beyond Delhi, focusing on the Haryana suburb of Gurgaon, which had the potential for residential and commercial growth. Gurgaon saw a period of fast expansion when DLF began to acquire property under Chairman K.P. Singh's leadership.
The land purchase programme took a humanitarian approach to ensure that the sellers were not taken advantage of. To this end, DLF cooperated with farmers to ensure that they received a piece of the earnings as well. Following acquiring and establishing a land bank, DLF sold plots to buyers after delineation. Farmers were given a portion of the earnings from the sales, which encouraged more farmers to join DLF as partners.
